To become and to remain a member, an international association is required
An Admissions Committee is charged with examining the extent to which an applicant association answers these requirements. In order to allow this Committee to study the applications fully, associations applying for membership should submit the following documents:
In addition the members of the Admissions Committee may pose further questions which seem to them relevant.
The Admissions Committee reports to the Management Committee, which is the body which, in accordance with article 6 of the statutes, has the responsibility of making a decision on the result of the application.
In accordance with the same article 6, any association whose application is rejected by the Management Committee has the right of appeal against the decision to the General Assembly.
Article 8 of the statutes of the FAIB states that 'any member of the association may at any time resign by sending a signed letter to the President. A resignation made in this way only becomes effective at the end of the financial year in which the resignation was notified.'
