is searching for a CONFERENCE ASSISTANT

Position
Conference Assistant – Full time (38h/week)

Period
3 September 2007- 15 February 2008

The European Forum for Good Clinical Practice (EFGCP) is a not-for-profit, independent international association located in Brussels. For the past 14 years the EFGCP has provided a high-level meeting place and think tank for ethics and science in European biomedical research.

Main Responsabilities

Assisting the C.O.O. with the overall organisation of the upcoming conferences and EFGCP activities

Conferences
· Preparation of the conferences documents (invitation letters, e-mailings, confirmations)
· Marketing
· Management of participants
· Preparation of the conferences material
· On-site coordination

Other activities that would require the Conference Assistant’s participation
· Updating & reviewing the website (content and structure)
· Updating the promotional material
· Contributing to the preparation of the EFGCP Newsletter
· EFGCP administration, including correspondences, filing, mailings

Required Qualifications & Skills

· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Fluency in spoken and written English; French is an asset.
· Flexible, enthusiastic & service-minded
· Well organised and caring for details
· Excellent time management and respect of deadlines
· Proficiency in Microsoft applications
· Experience with web/database software and computer graphics tools are a plus

The applicant should have strong interpersonal skills, possibly have an interest in medical and pharmaceutical issues and be able to work in a team environment. Experience in event organisation and IT would be welcome.
