FEVE – the European Container Glass Federation (aisbl) is recruiting an EU Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to join its team.
The Ideal candidate should:
• Have a technical background in environmental issues, IPPC, Emissions Trading Scheme, REACH, packaging and recycling, life cycle analysis, health issues, etc.
• Be a versatile professional, with good knowledge of the EU institutions and legislative processes
• Have experience of lobbying in Brussels and the trade association environment
• Possess strong communication and organizational skills
• Be fluent in English
• Have at least 10 years relevant experience
• Expertise in the glass industry would be an asset
Reporting to the Secretary General, the EU Environmental, Health and Safety Manager will be responsible in particular for identifying and analyzing critical issues for the glass industry and planning, conducting, reporting and follow up of selected FEVE Committees and expert meetings. She / He will be responsible for drafting position papers in collaboration with the FEVE members and communicating the industry positions at EU level.
