FAIB ... be international - in Belgium !

Eurochild : child poverty, child rights, children in Europe, social exclusion, poverty, Communication on the Rights of the Child, UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, Community Action Programme, National Action Plans on social exclusion and social protection

It is being co-organised with Eurochild's member organisation Family, Child & Youth Asssociation in Hungary.

The conference will gather high level representatives from member states and the European Commission, as well as government officials, NGOs and children, to discuss the EU social inclusion process and its impact on national and regional policies to combat child poverty and exclusion.

Thematic workshops will explore implications for member states in 3 policy areas:

1. Early years education & care

2. Family & parenting support

3. Education and life-long learning

Membership Exchange Seminar, 2 October 2008, Cardiff
This year Membership Exchange Seminar will focus on "Child and Youth Participation" and is taking place in Cardiff, Wales/UK .
The seminar will follow the IFCW World Forum 2008 on "Early Intervention and Prevention",and will be looking specifically at how Eurochild members involve the most excluded youngsters in their own work and in policy-making at regional or national level.
